Powering over 500 million interactions every single year, we have a tremendous amount of data and need someone with the skills and ambition to harness it in new and innovative ways. The Head of Data has the opportunity to define what we should be focused on, how we should be working through things, and how we bring data to life for the rest of the organization.

About the Role 

As Head of Data you will be responsible for developing, managing, and empowering a team of data analysts and data scientists. You will drive Typeform’s growth by identifying and delivering on strategic insights through your team to the broader company. 

Reporting to the President & Chief Financial Officer, you will maximize the potential of data as a strategic asset throughout the organization. You are a change agent with fresh perspectives who drives new insights and business outcomes in a proactive manner. 

Things you will do:

  • Building and Leading a Data Organization: Cultivate a high-performing data organization that spans Data Analytics and Data Science. Lead, nurture, and retain a diverse team of data scientists and analysts, fostering innovation and continuous learning.

  • Strategic Advisory: Act as a key strategic advisor to the executive team, leveraging data-driven insights to impact decision-making on key performance drivers.

  • Analytics Execution: Spearhead the execution of our analytics strategy, ensuring on-time delivery of all analytics initiatives.

  • Data Strategy Development: Devise a multi-year data strategy, facilitating thoughtful data collection, growth, and maximum utilization

  • Data Advocacy: Drive cross-functional stakeholders to adopt data-driven frameworks and data solutions that will allow them to accelerate growth & improve performance.

  • Communication and Storytelling: Employ your communication skills to craft compelling data narratives that bring your solutions to life.

  • Operational Effectiveness: Translate specific questions into broader business problems. Assist the team in scoping and delivering impactful and complex projects. Propose and implement processes that help the whole Data team work more seamlessly and efficiently.

  • Be passionately curious about Typeform customer's behaviors and raise questions for the team and the organization to challenge the status quo and generate new insights

 

What you already bring to the table

  • You are an experienced innovator who has extracted value from data and produced tangible outcomes as a senior-level leader for data and/or analytics departments in a SaaS business

  • You have a degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. MBA is preferred, but not required.

  • You’re pragmatic.You value simple and effective solutions over complicated brain-melters

  • You can take a complex concept, break it down and translate it for non-technical audiences

  • You like taking on big challenges—given the appropriate time and resources

  • You have a keen business sense and bring some experience from a big three strategy consulting environment

  • You have experience with A/B and Multivariate test design and implementation

  • You’re hungry to learn and embrace healthy debate

  • You’re fluent in English and eager to work in a multicultural, international environmen

Pay range

$215,000—$250,000 USD
